JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus XC

Proven to last up to 1 year in Lips.

How Does Juvéderm® Ultra Plus Compare to Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC?
As a “liquid facelift,” Juvéderm® Ultra Plus can smooth the deepest wrinkles, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds, fill hollows in cheeks, and shape the contours of your face. It has the same active ingredient as Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC, but Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC also contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to ease discomfort during the procedure.
The active ingredient in Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC is hyaluronic acid, a sugar your dermis already makes that soaks up moisture, delivers nutrients, and cushions skin. When this ingredient is injected into the skin, it pulls in moisture and swells like a sponge, filling wrinkles, folds, and the hollows in cheeks.
Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC are both denser than Belotero Balance® or Restylane®. They’re also designed to treat deeper wrinkles and folds than Belotero Balance® or Restylane®, so they are injected into deeper dermal layers.

Is Juvéderm® Ultra Plus Right for Me?
Regardless of skin type or color, you will probably get results from this treatment. However, it is really designed for patients with severe wrinkles and folds or moderate-to-severe depressions in cheeks.

You Shouldn’t Use Juvéderm® Ultra Plus If You:

  • Have had allergic reactions of any kind to other Juvéderm® products.
  • Are allergic to lidocaine.
  • Are allergic to the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in Juvéderm® products.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Are currently taking blood thinners like warfarin, which can lead to bleeding, bruising, and other complications from this treatment. If you are taking NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen, which may also have this effect, tell your Onsite clinician, who may have you stop the medication for one week before your procedure.

What Can I Expect at My Procedure?
First, you’ll consult with a clinician who will ask you about your beauty goals and make a plan for your treatment. Next, the clinician will swab the treatment area with alcohol to prevent infection. Juvéderm® Ultra Plus contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that will reduce discomfort from the injections. The clinician might also numb your skin with an ice pack or topical anesthetic before beginning the treatment. The clinician will inject Juvéderm® Ultra XC through a micro-needle, then shift the gel by hand to the target areas to ensure results you’ll love. The procedure takes between fifteen and forty minutes.

Results: What, When, and for How Long?
Most patients see the results from their treatment immediately. But because Juvéderm® Ultra Plus contains hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture toward the target area and increases collagen production, this process can take a few days.
The majority of patients don’t require touch-ups for six months to a year. That’s why Juvéderm® Ultra XC is such a beneficial and money-saving choice for facial rejuvenation. To keep your results looking great, Onsite advises follow-up treatments once or twice a year. As a result of the treatments, your skin will manufacture new collagen, which keeps working for you over the long term, you may begin to require these touch-ups less and less often, with smaller amounts of gel.

Recovery: What to Expect
This is an outpatient procedure. Almost every patient can jump back into their everyday tasks after their treatment. For one to two days after your procedure, you should avoid heat, direct sunlight, and exercise. You may experience slight discomfort and swelling, but it is manageable for most people.

JUVÉDERM Vollure XC

Proven to last up to 18 months.

Juvéderm Vollure™ XC:

  • Was the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler created to reduce moderate-to-severe laugh lines and nasolabial folds.
  • Is the longest-lasting dermal filler for nasolabial folds: clinical studies showed results that appeared natural and lasted as long as 18 months in most participants.
  • Based on Vycross technology, which plumps hollow cheeks with Juvéderm Voluma® and augments lips with Juvéderm Volbella®.
  • Uses synthetic hyaluronic acid (rather than animal-based), which means no allergy test is required before your procedure.
  • Is safe for every skin type and color and won’t produce hyperpigmentation or hypertrophic scarring.
  • Is manufactured by Allergan, one of the medical beauty industry’s most highly regarded companies.

What Does Juvéderm Vollure™ XC Do?
Aging causes skin to slow the manufacture of elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. This leads skin to sag, wrinkle, and fold. Juvéderm Vollure™ XC uses hyaluronic acid to treat moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles in the nose and/or mouth areas. This includes laugh lines, aka parenthesis lines; marionette lines, which extend from the mouth corners downward; and horizontal lines across the chin.

JUVÉDERM Volbella XC

Proven to last up to 1 year in Lips.

Juvéderm Volbella® XC
Volume loss happens as we age, especially in the face. Our skin makes less and less elastin and collagen. To add to their line of injectables, Juvéderm®’s newest dermal filler, Juvéderm Volbella® XC, adds subtle, natural-looking volume to lips and reduces the appearance of lip lines.
Juvéderm Volbella® XC was created just for the lips and the skin around the mouth. It fills vertical lip lines including smoker’s lines, which can develop even in people who never smoked. This treatment has been FDA-approved to fix vertical lip lines and for lip augmentation.
A group of clinical trials showed how Juvéderm Volbella® XC is an effective tool for subtly plumping lips and filling vertical lip lines. In one of these studies, two-thirds of patients reported that their vertical lip lines and lip volume had improved over the span of a year, during which they had a touch-up a month after their initial procedure. Juvéderm Volbella® XC’s side effects were similar to those of the control group. Side effects were usually at the injection site, such as swelling, tenderness, bruising, firmness, lumps, redness, pain, discoloration, and itching. Most of these disappeared within a month.
